Warrior King Watches began not with a business plan, but with a broken watch and a broken heart. In 2017, our founder lost his father— a man who, among other things, had a deep love for fine timepieces. Among his possessions was a cherished wristwatch, worn and weathered with time, yet heavy with meaning. It was this watch that the founder hoped to restore and wear in honour of his father's memory.
But when he took it to be repaired in Ghana, the watch came back damaged. The dial had been ruined, the soul of the piece stripped away with glue and guesswork. That moment didn't just spark frustration, it ignited a calling. What began as a simple wish to preserve a father's legacy became the seed of something far greater: a lifelong journey into horology, legacy, and craftsmanship.
What followed was a relentless pursuit of knowledge and skill. With no formal training, the founder taught himself watchmaking from scratch, watching videos, dissecting movements, and studying the techniques of both local artisans and Swiss masters. Starting from humble beginnings in Spintex and later in Greda Estate, he established HourHand Watch Co., a workshop equipped with Swiss-grade tools and a fierce Ghanaian spirit. From there, he built a reputation for integrity, precision, and a personal touch that most modern repair shops had long forgotten.
As the journey deepened, it became clear that this was never just about repairing watches. It was about restoring stories. Every timepiece carried memories, milestones, or meaning, things far more valuable than the mechanisms inside. This realisation inspired something more ambitious: the creation of an original watch brand that would not only function with excellence but also embody culture, history, and soul.
That vision became Warrior King.
